Beer under the name “Radler Lemon” has been widely known in Europe since the early 20th century. This refreshing drink combines a well-balanced mix of beer and a non-alcoholic beverage. “Radler” is very popular in Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, and other countries. An interesting story lies behind its origin: the first version of this beer drink was created by the famous German brewer Franz K. Kugler. When 13,000 cyclists from Munich arrived at “Kugler Alm” craving beer, Kugler – never short of ideas – surprised them by creating a light beer drink with lemon flavor, declaring it especially suitable for cyclists so they would not become too intoxicated and could ride home safely.

Radler cieszy się dużą popularnością w Austrii, Niemczech, Czechach, Polsce i innych krajach. Ciekawa jest historia powstania tego napoju. Jako pierwszy przygotował go znany niemiecki piwowar Franz K. Kugler. Kiedy 13 000 rowerzystów z Monachium przybyło do „Kugleralm”, domagając się piwa, Franz K. Kugler, któremu nigdy nie brakowało pomysłów, również tym razem mile zaskoczył swoich gości. Przygotował lekki napój piwny o smaku cytrynowym i uroczyście ogłosił, że wynalazek ten szczególnie przypadnie do gustu rowerzystom, aby nie byli zbyt nietrzeźwi i mogli dotrzeć do domu.
